Question: Clarkstown Center for Jewish Life (CCJL) - What does this stand for?

Question: The terminology “ Clarkstown Center for Jewish Life (CCJL)” is first used in the 6th paragraph: Rabbis and Cantors….. What is that referring to? Has it been defined in an earlier document?

Answer: As it is our plan for each congregation to retain their separate and individual identities, “CCJL” is the name that we have been using internally to denote a third “joint” organization, comprised equally of members of both TBS and NCJC, which will oversee the joint operations of our proposed campus (facilities, schools, maintenance, security, etc.). At this point, the name is a “placeholder,” and may be changed in the future.
